I Never Imagined Twitter Could Be A Road Full of Traffic

I've seen today a Twitter account from a friend that got snapped out. It was a PR 4 profile page and I bet that it took time to earn that trust from the search engines only to get the account snapped in the wink of an eye. I wonder what happened back there?

I never thought that Twitter could ban accounts just like that knowing that there are so many spammers out there trying to explore what they could out of the advantages that this social bookmarking site does.

First, it never came to me that there is indeed quality traffic that could come from this site so even if I have a very old account there, I never had the interest to follow on accounts and allow others to follow me.

I've always wanted to have a secret life using social bookmarking sites and Twitter is one of them. In fact, I really have used it just for a few tries. It was something like 5 or less than 10 tweets all in all and I never came back again to the site.

Not until I learned the plus factor that it could possibly bring to my fence. Now, I am still on a process of trying to see some different and posting one by one at a time and trying to make intervals to see what happens next.

I hope to find out more soon in a month or two and see if I could possibly post here my tweets. That is of course if I like it. Social media marketing is a great way to learn more about traffic generation. Twitter is not excempted.

Social Bookmarkings Exploitation is Dead

A lot of speculations have been roaming around in the SEO and link building industry about the big advantage in the use of social bookmarking websites. This is in helping sites rank higher in the SERPs faster and accurately.

True, I have even experienced it myself but everything has changed because Google finally found out how to filter sites that exploit the use of these social bookmarking sites to their own advantage. This is something new from my personal experience and I admit this is a great new learning from me.

Although I cannot enclose more details to confirm this claim, I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of you out there who have experienced it also. If you are wondering why, then, this post is just the answer to your questions.

If you are still willing to try it out yourself, I guess you'll have to find out about it the hard way but I would not encourage, nor advice you to do it if you want to retain the importance and trust the Google is giving your site. This is finally the end to social bookmarking exploits of spammers out there. Social bookmarking exploitation is dead just like how Sphinn junks spammers.

Digg Launches Related Posts Beta

I guess Digg finally got over the spamming here and there from all corners of the internet marketing industry. They just launched their Digg Related Posts in Beta testing. This is the newest modification since I cannot remember anymore from Digg admin and I like this one as it somehow minimizes the opportunities for spammers (like me) and other out there.

This move to put some changes will lessen the chances that only the spam links submitted will get the say and outbound clicks. Maybe Jay Adelson woke up and said hey, we ought to use something out of those who gets visits and leads from using Digg in return.

Actually, it's not really them who benefits from it but all users as well because the related posts will take the users to more relevant content which is a good indication that there will be more chances to see other posts and diggs by other people.

This also means that those who do not usually have the time to search for other relevant posts, not thinking that it is possible, will no longer have to click here and click there just to find other information that they may be interested in. In just one page, there will appear a link to other related posts with Digg's related posts beta.

After a $75 Million Buy: e-Bay Decides to Sell StumbleUpon

I read from the blog by Joe today that according to TechCruch, StumbleUpon is now for sale by e-Bay. Well what do you know? It really has been a very long time that I have been done and over with social media sites because I never even knew that StumbleUpon was bought by e-Bay a long time ago.

Now, after learning that it is for sale by e-Bay, I wonder how much will it be for the biggest e-commerce selling site today? I actually commented this on the Duck's Blog asking if maybe the big "G" has offered to take over it. I guess not after Digg which we all know is proven to have shared powers on Google indexing.

So that's why StumbleUpon since was gone in the results and I would not wonder about that because of the latter relationship that Google has been up to with StumbleUpon owner, e-Bay lately. This is really going to be yet another interesting drama on social media sale of SU. If it is bought at $75 M, then how much could it be for sale now?

Raising Eyebrows Over the New Propeller Design

Everybody has talked about the new propeller design and what they had in mind is the same as what I have. The new design really sti**. It doesn't even have the user-friendly social media site design that it used to have.

Although this news is a bit late and the comments are too late, I'd like to be the first one to discuss about it here. Where no one dares, I discuss and maybe that is why I want this blog to be labeled as the Intelligent Blog in SEO Philippines block.

Say what you might but I know and have seen a lot of SEO blogs out there but nothing can compare to this blog of mine. I know what I do and I put my heart on it all the time. That's what makes it very interesting to read my posts. This is where you will find interesting discussion as well as first hand information about some of the latest in the world SEO community.

Sphinn Junks Cebu SEO Contest Bookmarkings

This is a call for those who are a little bit on the early stage of their SEO and Sphinning and in using the bookmark submission tool called as the Social Bookmarker. Please, refrain from submitting all your bookmarks about the Cebu SEO Contest in their site.

You'll surely be booted out unless you can make something really worth of the time of those who are regular members of the popular search engine bookmarking site. I am not saying you have useless content but it's just the way it works there for some of the big time SEOs in the industry.
Click the image below to enlarge:

Sphinn, is a social sharing and also the search engine industry's very own social news & networking site launched by none other than the good old reliable and ever dependable Danny Sullivan. It is where some of the best stay and mingle and they all know what makes a very useful content to get bookmarked in their fences. All the people there knows what gets in and what doesn't.

There must be at least
2 Cebu SEO Contest bookmark submissions that got booted out of their engine. You must realize that you cannot afford to loose your membership only by careless submission of content. I say careless because of the obvious point that those two I can see from the Cebu SEO contest results got badly booted out. That means your content did not pass the quality that they have there which is strict as a hole of the needle, please don't.

There must be something that the users and members there can get out from your posts in Sphinn before the administrators will allow your submissions. This is again a call to some of you who manage to make submissions because this way, you might compromise us being labeled as spammers and we all do not want that.

I get most of my valuable content from Sphinn and if you are not aware of it and that there is a pot of gold in there and I don't want you guys to have your accounts banned, so I decided to make this post even though it is very hard for me to make my point.

The New Delicious, Looping with PR 9

From del-icio-us to delicious, did they really turn it good this time?

Delicious had just turned a new look on their social bookmarking platform and the redirection seemed to have, not a devastating effect on them but one of the bewildering results ever in the history of PR upgrade by Google . THEY JUST TURNED RP 9. You can take a look at their new look and be one of the first ones to see how they turned great with user-friendliness in their new backyard.

Delicious was up since 1995 of November and was bound to expire November 18 2008 but announcing their new look with a redirection to the new domain and 5 colorful links from wikipedia had them leading in the social bookmarking arena today.

Does re-spelling of the now leading social bookmarking site had them turn into PR 9 all of a sudden? Do misspellings really play big deal in SEO? It is considered a misspelling was it? (with dashes on a not so syllable-looking series of letters) Well, I have a few experiments on my own which I am not so lucky continuing because of so much work to do. Now I had the inkling urge to continue that along with other outdated experiments I had in the past. MAYBE.

People in the search engine battle have been wondering if it could really be such a possible theory of another series of new search engine optimization greatness. Or maybe it just has something to do with their being there since 1995 and having those few relevant links from authority site, Wikipedia? Any other way this happening wants to show signs of things like this and things like that, we all learn from it,,,,at least to me.

I'm happy the change did not make me loose all my bookmarks.

Who Knows How To Use Twitter?

Calling those of you who know how to use Twitter. Yes, this is a call for those who really know how it is done. I've seen how it can drive interesting amount of traffic especially if you know how to play with the short service of Twitter but this time, I wouldn't yet know. Seems to busy with things and stuff that has brought me my bread of the day.

One day I was surprised that too many people have been following me on twitter since I became an active poster on the said social networking site. They all seem to see interest in my doing. Tried to find out why but to my surprise, a friend told me that per se, Twitter is useless because first and foremost, it's links are in "nofollow", second, who would give an interest in such a short post there?

So I said to myself, who the hell then would get any interest in the short nothings that I post in there. But how come that people are following me these days when I started posting in it? That is the question. Well, I just hope that they have Alexa installed in their browser so everytime they visit my Twitter page and follow whatever short nothings I put there, I get to increase my monthly traffic. so what are you waiting for? come and follow me...Just curious.

Going 360 Over Social Media Hype

Yes, social media seems to be fast becoming a hype for many people who use the internet. They contain almost 75 % of the users who are well aware of this but does not necessarily know what powers they are good for in terms of SEO and advantage over competition in the arena of the search engine results page race.

People all over the world seem to be going in a 360 degree turn over the use of social media for many purposes. There are many who use it for friends and chat and so on but the most important part seem being missed out probably because the hype that was what we have learned to be accustomed to (the majority of people using social media).

The Sphinn Review

Today, I just signed up with Sphinn and this time I need to be careful because an earlier account got thrashed because of careless posts.

I've seen how powerful Sphinn is because some of the most powerful search engine marketers and SEO are in it's bed, browsing over for some of the best posts there is and helping newbies like me and each other achieve tasks easier and understand questions with exclusive tips and helpful topics discussed.

Only they have what it takes to be the best social site and I know it.

With Sphinn, I found the best social media and learned that it is never to be abused to an extent of reasons that you want to gain advantage over others. I have seen how Sphinn became a very powerful medium in terms of learning and sharing knowledge and I will not let it go this time, my second chance.

Let the play begin and allow me to learn more of what is out there like the others because I want to be one of them.

The Digg Acquisition Rumors According to Jay Adelson (CEO)

Jay Adelson, the standing CEO of Digg, bursts out words to end questions of Digg's acquisition by answering ("We get asked this everyday and we never comment," Adelson said. "If we answered every time someone asked us this, we'd never have time to do anything else."). This is in relation to the re-surfacing of the alleged acquisition of one of the biggest social media site - Digg.

This rumor first appeared way back in December 18, 2007 in an article stating that Digg, the social media site is being brokered at $300 million by hiring a company named Allen & Company. Avid spies seem to never stop taking a look at what's hot these days as the rumor last year gain re-surfaced in the arena of social marketing.

Influencing the SERPs with Social Media Hype - A New way to Apply Offpage SEO

What's in and what's not? It's social media hype and the advantages that it gives in influencing the SERPs to favor a site over your competition with regards to a particular keyword race. Could be and could be not but who knows?

It all started for me when a few friends in the SEO arena in the Philippines attracted me to join in some small SEO blogging contest built and intended at first to serve more traffic to a website. Now it's gotta be in terms of SEO with most of the greatest SEOs finding out that it can do much more than just serve for a campaign to topple the odds over a keyword competition via blogging and networking.

It was at first, Benj Arriola winning the SEO World Competition last year dubbed as the global warming awareness SEO World Championships with title as the very keyword and turning over the tide for other rival entries. He did good with the help of a few SEO friends here in the Philippines and I never minded it all as I am not interested to join in or see anything from the contest.

Then... another SEO contest here in the Philippines dubbed as the Isulong SEOPh keyword ranking contest open only and exclusively for the Filipinos. Followed by the Ituloy AngSulong SEO keyword ranking contest. I again didn't mind but just stood aside on who will win the search engine trust and to seek for the methods those top notchers are implementing in their entries.

From there on, a buzz had gone widely roaming around the community of SEO in the Philippines and there goes another SEO keyword ranking contest named the "Paradise Philippines" and from there I considered joining other small contests just to see if there is really some juice in Social Media Networking.

Until it's too late that I found out that indeed, social media networking is an effective way to implement SEO in a website or for a client dying to give extra buck$ for ranking first in their niche keyword.

Then after the Paradise Philippines keyword which I joined and topped on the first page for some time until I lacked the time to give my entry the needed focus. But learned a lot with regards to offpage SEO. After this another SEO contest was launched titled as the "Alibata" for which I didn't join because I can sense something not good is going to happen from the start because of doubts on the very bog prize this time which even prompted some SEOs to buy special domains intended only for the contest.

But they failed to implement maximum SEO because the contest after the passing of the year 2007 went down into a controversy which the organizers failed to give early notice to contestants and entry owners.

This later created havoc over the SEOPh forum and I'm glad that it is now finally over and the organizers must have found a way to calm down the heat due to lack of information dissemination about the status of the Alibata SEO keyword ranking contest.

The opening of the year took me to join in small contests just to see the effectiveness of social media networking and indeed found something else from the rubbles that I can use and confirmed from other friends also that they can be a very effective way to boost rankings in a niche keyword. Social Media Networking indeed gives advantages for offpage SEO implementation.
